Get on the Bus
Be in Jena on Sept. 20 to Demand: Free the Jena 6!

EVERYONE, EVERYWHERE, get on a bus or plane, carpool or ride your bike, skateboard or drive to Jena on September 20. Free the Jena 6!

Right now buses are getting organized throughout the country. Atlanta, Chicago, New York City, Detroit, New Jersey, Maryland, Indiana, Florida, Ohio, Philadelphia, Virginia, North Carolina (see “Groundswell of Support for Jena 6” for details). If there's not one where you are, organize one. Wherever you are GET ON THE BUS!

Issue #102 of Revolution will be available for distribution in Jena, and at Free the Jena 6 actions everywhere. This issue of Revolution will include selections from “The Oppression of Black People and the Revolutionary Struggle to End All Oppression,” a series of excerpts from writings and talks by Bob Avakian, Chairman of the Revolutionary Communist Party, that appeared in Revolution during February 2007—Black History Month. The series deals with the bitter reality-and the fundamental source-of the oppression of Black people throughout the history of the U.S., from the days of slavery down to the present time, which points to the revolutionary road to ending this oppression, and all forms of oppression and exploitation.

The editorial, “All Out! Support National Days of Protest To Free the Jena 6,” from issue 100 is available as a PDF for reprinting at http://revcom.us/a/100/Jena-edit-flyer-en.pdf.

Play the DVD of Bob Avakian's talk REVOLUTION: Why It's Necessary, Why It's Possible, What It's All About on the buses. And sell the special offer (10 issues of Revolution and DVD of talk by Bob Avakian for $25) to people protesting in Jena and elsewhere.

On September 20 people from all across the country will flood the streets of Jena Louisiana. Be there, and bring stacks of Revolution newspaper with you to get out.
