The Earth2Trump Resistance Roadshow arrived in Washington, DC, on Wednesday, January 18, after stops in 15 cities across the country.  The Roadshow was launched on the West Coast January 2 by the Center for Biological Diversity, together with local organizations and activists in different cities.  The organizers saw Earth2Trump as an organizing campaign to build resistance to Trump's attacks on the environment and civil rights. They report that more than 5,250 people attended the events, including over 500 in Tucson and 1,200 in St. Augustine, Florida. Each event featured music and national and local speakers, and a “pledge of resistance” people were encouraged to sign.  The pledge now has over 150,000 signatures.

The Center's Executive Director said: “The turnout and energy at these Earth2Trump events have been incredible. We’re arriving in D.C. with the momentum of a major national movement that will oppose every item on Trump’s radical agenda.  With thousands of newly empowered people on our side, we’ll fiercely resist policies and appointees that hurt wildlife, poison our air and water, destroy our climate, promote racism, misogyny or homophobia, or marginalize entire segments of our society.”
