A call to all our readers to contribute to our coverage of Hurricane Harvey.

August 29, 2017 | Revolution Newspaper | revcom.us

To our readers:

Hurricane Harvey is a major—and continuing catastrophe for millions in Texas.  There is an urgent need to tell the story to people across this country and around the world. And to do that we need you.

We have to let the world know what is really happening “on the ground”—what people are thinking and doing, how Harvey has impacted them, what the state and the police, ICE and other forces of repression are doing, and more. If you are in the area of the storm, take pictures, write brief reports, interview people who have been hit by the storm with your phone. If you have family or friends there, call them and have them tell you what’s going on.  If you can, reach out to clergy, teachers, medical professionals and others who can contribute to understanding the big picture—including what is happening to those in the worst conditions and to immigrants. If you are in another part of the country let us know what people from all different walks of life are thinking, saying and doing.

And to everyone reading this note: distribute and spread the demands and write about what people are saying and doing about them.  Send audio reports (MP3 is best but any is OK), written reports, pictures and videos and more to revolution.reports@yahoo.com.
