Points of Attention for the Revolution (the POA). This is the “code” of the revolution: the principles of morality, the means and ends, and the relations between people that we in the Revcom Corps stand for, in stark contrast to the degrading outlook and culture of this system.

1 We base ourselves on and strive to represent the highest interests of humanity: revolution and communism. We do not tolerate using the revolution for personal gain.

2 We fight for a world where ALL the chains are broken. Women, men, and differently gendered people are equals and comrades. We do not tolerate physically or verbally abusing women or treating them as sexual objects, nor do we tolerate insults or “jokes” about people’s gender or sexual orientation.

3 We fight for a world without borders, and for equality among different peoples, cultures and languages. We do not tolerate insults, “jokes” or derogatory names about a person’s race, nationality, or language.

4 We stand with the most oppressed and never lose sight of their potential to emancipate humanity—nor of our responsibility to lead them to do that. We work to win people of all backgrounds to take part in the revolution, and do not tolerate revenge among the people.

5 We search for and fight for the truth no matter how unpopular, even as we listen to and learn from the observations, insights and criticisms of others.

6 We are going for an actual overthrow of this system and a whole better way beyond the destructive, vicious conflicts of today between the people. Because we are serious, at this stage we do not initiate violence and we oppose all violence against the people and among the people.

Membership Responsibilities

The Revcom Corps is made up of people who have come together to help fulfill the greatest need: making revolution and emancipating humanity. They have dedicated themselves to this—with great seriousness and great love; with great determination and great passion.

Members don’t “look out for #1 (self)”; we share the good and the bad, and look out for each other. Our strength is in our collectivity, and our collective mission and purpose—not in acting as a bunch of individuals doing their own thing.

• We live by, and hold each other responsible to, the 6 Points of Attention For The Revolution. Members want revolution so bad we are going to be scientific about it, and work together as a team of scientists. The scientific method enables us to understand reality (by examining evidence, identifying patterns and root causes) and determine what’s true by whether it correctly reflects reality—not by “what most people think,” or who says it, or how it makes you feel.

• We work to study and apply the new communism, the scientific framework for human emancipation developed by Bob Avakian, along with ongoing leadership from @BobAvakianOfficial.
• We discuss and wrangle over how to understand the world, over what to do, over right and wrong. Inside the Corps we contribute our insights, and we raise our questions and disagreements—but when we collectively decide on something, we “run the experiment” and then draw the lessons together.

Members strive for largeness of mind and generosity of spirit. In the movement against oppression and injustice, we work to unite all who can be united and overcome divide and conquer schemes.

• We combat the “enemy within”—the putrid culture of snark, gossip, slander, pettiness, and tearing each other down—which destroys movements and makes it easier to target revolutionary leaders.
• We welcome discussion, debate, and criticism about what we stand for—but do not tolerate lies and slander against Bob Avakian and the Revcoms, whether it comes from servants of the system or opportunists who hate revolution more than they hate this system. Our enemies recognize the unique role that Bob Avakian is playing, and so do we.

Members work to effect the serious organization and discipline that a real revolution requires, and to act together in a unified way to have the impact we can’t have alone.

• We report to Corps leadership regularly, and are responsible for commitments. We attend meetings and go out to the masses with revolution as much as we can, especially for key events and mobilizations.
• We represent for the Revcom Corps to the best of our ability, but only designated representatives are authorized to speak to the press or in any other official capacity.
• We are responsible for regular fundraising or donations (TBD with Corps leadership).
• We work to recruit others into the Corps on the basis of the principles and methods of the Corps.
