Biden’s State of the Union on Israel: 600 Words, 4 Massive Lies & 1 Cruel Joke

Biden devoted a little over 600 words to the war that he is funding in Palestine, which has now taken more than 30,000 lives. In those few words, he packed four massive lies and one cruel joke.

The Four Massive Lies

1) Biden claimed that the crisis in Gaza “began on October 7th with a massacre by the terrorist group Hamas.” He whited out 75 years of imperialist-backed genocidal ethnic cleansing of Palestine by Zionist Israel. 

2) He equated the 1,200 Israelis killed by Hamas to the Nazi genocide that killed millions of Jews, when right now it is Israel that is carrying out genocide against the defenseless Palestinian people in Gaza. 

3) He claimed, “The United States has been leading international efforts to get more humanitarian assistance into Gaza” when the United States has killed efforts to get in aid by vetoing three cease-fire resolutions at the UN. And defunding and pressuring other countries to defund the UN agency that distributes food in Gaza. 

4) He massively lied by omission, somehow forgetting to mention that as he spoke, the U.S. continued supplying the bombs, drones, tanks, missiles, and guns that have reduced much of Gaza to rubble. 

And the cruel joke:

Any “aid” the U.S. provides for the people who Biden is starving to death in Gaza, like “air drops” that dumped meals for a few tens of thousands of people into an area where over two million people are starving, or the “floating pier” he promised in his speech that might be a channel for aid in two months, are shameful publicity stunts to cover up the role of the U.S. in backing Israel’s genocide against the Palestinian people.
